The Art Market (Pasar Seni) is an attractive place for bargain hunters. It contains more than a hundred stalls selling various art and craft items including puppets, leather goods, wood carvings, batik clothing, oil, water colour as well as batik paintings.
Order a self portrait to be painted on the spot and you can watch the artist at work. This is in fact one of its main attraction.
